Franky (Vicky Knight) suspects Jane (Sarah-Jane Dent), her mother’s best friend, of setting fire to the pub where she was sleeping as a child and has since been looking for revenge. When she meets Florence (Esme Creed-Miles), a girl with whom she falls deeply in love, she runs away from home. They escape to the coast where Florence lives with her more open-minded patchwork family. There, as she attempts to balance Florence’s unpredictable volatility and her own feelings about being publicly out, Franky finds the unexpected emotional shelter to deal with the grudges of the past.
